New movements and AI navigation

Everything since 2.3.3, in one release. Whole features that weren’t in the last public build — V One, voice control, velocity-based training, one-page reports, movements you compose yourself — plus the unglamorous pass that cleared the crash class on 4 GB iPads.

V One, the coach assistant

No longer a panel you open. It reads the roster, writes into it, and can put you on the screen you asked for.

  • Ask for an athlete, a session, or a test and land there — V One arms the protocol, reveals the rack, and focuses the card it’s talking about.
  • Ask about a number and get the number. It no longer arms a tool for every question.
  • V One can write a coach note into an athlete’s record — an ordinary dated entry on the same timeline your own notes live on, so you keep one record rather than an AI one beside yours. Edit it or swipe it away like any other note.
  • Notes the model wrote are badged, and it knows which ones were its own, so it never reads an earlier guess back as corroboration.
  • It re-reads the profile before it writes, and refuses to act on a name that matches two athletes.
  • Hold the mic on the coach bar to dictate instead of typing.

Voice mode

Hands-free, for when yours are on an athlete.

  • The mic pill opens into a listening orb: speak, and it transcribes, answers, and speaks back — no tapping between turns.
  • Sticky mode holds the loop open across a session; captions stay quiet at the edge.
  • Built for a loud room — it meters the noise floor on your own device rather than assuming a threshold, and exits cleanly after a few empty turns instead of listening forever.
  • “Speaking… tap to interrupt” — you can cut an answer off mid-sentence.

Velocity-based training

Bar velocity off the camera, recorded in the same session as the plate data.

  • VBT is a layer of the camera panel, and the trace now sits under the footage instead of over it — the plot had been covering about 60% of the preview.
  • When your framing is wrong the app says which way to walk and how far: MOVE CLOSER, MOVE FURTHER AWAY, STEP INTO FRAME. Full screen, and deliberately behind the preview, so the instruction never covers the thing it’s asking you to fix.
  • A declined frame names what’s missing instead of failing quietly.
  • The live pose overlay draws again. The model is loaded once per process now rather than on every camera open — that reload was blocking the frame processor, so the skeleton came up blank.
  • Pose input sits upright in both landscape orientations, with smoothing.

Reports you can hand someone

A one-page PDF, composed on screen, printed once you approve it.

TREND
  • Choose what the page says, see it rendered, drop a panel you don’t want, and print. Rearranging is instant, and every other number is provably unchanged while you do it.
  • The model never types a number. It names the measurement it wants and the app resolves it at print time — so a report cannot quote a figure that isn’t in the record.
  • Change is measured against this athlete’s own repeat tests rather than a published band from a study of somebody else. A result comes back as a real change, inside the noise, or unknown — because “no band could be estimated” isn’t “no change”.
  • On a clearance page, a criterion that wasn’t measured blocks a pass. It never renders as met.
  • A saved layout holds questions with no athlete attached, so it runs against anyone, indefinitely. A printed report is kept exactly as printed — the page you handed a parent in March still says in August what it said in March.
  • A page-fill meter tells you what didn’t fit, before you print.

New movements, and the rack around them

Compose your own tests, on a rack reorganised around what you actually reach for.

NEW MOVEMENT
  • NEW MOVEMENT — build your own overlay composition, name it, and it’s saved to the device. Swipe right to delete.
  • Hold an athlete active across tests instead of picking them again on every capture; a save lands as a green receipt on their card.
  • VERT METRICS splits into VERT METRICS and FORCE PLOT, and JUMP arms both.
  • Plainer names: FORCE TRAIL is now CENTER OF PRESSURE, POSE is 3D POSTURE (beta), ROLL is BALANCE STYLES, WEIGHTLIFT is LIFT.
  • Squat and deadlift variants in the set-type picker.
  • ISOMETRIC, CHAIR RISE and SWING share one force plot with a ±2 s replay window, and the isometric x-axis rescales to fit the whole session instead of wrapping.
  • Raw export offers CSV or TXT, with an optional header row.

Stability and speed

The unglamorous half of the release.

78 HZDROPPEDSTREAM HOLDS
  • Cleared the crash class on 4 GB iPads — the 2D GL canvases were holding roughly 150 MB of anti-aliasing buffers between them.
  • The 78 Hz signal pipeline is wrapped at both entry points: a bad frame is dropped rather than taking down the recording.
  • The mesh’s wave maths is about 2.9× cheaper, measured bit-identical to the path it replaced.
  • The tablet no longer sleeps while Vault One is open.
  • A camera session error shows a named panel with RETRY instead of a black rectangle.
  • On iPhone the sensor housing is a reserved black bar and the layout takes what’s left, so no panel carries its own cutout compensation. The rack and drawer handles clear the Dynamic Island.
  • Tapping outside a panel closes it again. The dismiss area had been inset by the scrim’s padding — dead exactly where a thumb reaching in from the bezel lands.
  • ISOMETRIC comes off the overhead angle. Looking straight down collapsed the mesh wave to 2% of its amplitude, which read as the wave disappearing.
  • The iOS launch screen is cream. Both native launch images had been solid black, so the app booted black and hard-flipped.
